The Pharmaceutical Industry’s long successful strategy of latching on successful global therapeutic brands and registering under local brand names, promoting them heavily and turning them into economic blockbusters locally worked well for many years, but the operating environment is rapidly changing.
The Pharma Industry will be essentially driven by some critical factors in the next few years amongst which are;
- A growing number of healthcare players are measuring the pharmacoeconomic performance of different medicines. A widespread use of electronic medical records will give them the data they need to insist on outcomes-based pricing.
- Demand for medicines is growing more rapidly in the emerging economies than the industrialized economies.Therefore the capacity to identify effective and affordable therapies for common health challenges will be the game-changer in the next 5 years.
Building the capacity of the Pharma Industry Workforce becomes the critical challenge in delivering these outcomes in the years ahead.
Join us then at the NAIP’s 19th Annual National Conference between 19th -20th April, 2016 at the Lagos Sheraton Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos as we take a critical look on Workforce Development in the Pharma Industry.
H.E. Dr. Christopher Kolade, CON ,Nigeria’s Former High Commissioner to the United Kingdom will be Chairing the Opening Ceremony, while the distinguished Mrs. Amina Oyagbola, HR Director, MTN will be delivering the Conference Keynote Address.
Looking forward to welcoming you.
